The late Wanyama Jackson Namalwa was born to his late father Jacob Namalwa from Bakooli Clan and the late mother Taaka Ejulieri from Buliro Clan.
The late Wanyama Jackson Namalwa was the second born from his mother’s womb to his late father.
His siblings are the late Akochi Almerida, the late Namude Charles, Egessa John and Mary Hayoko.
The late was born on 30th May 1939 in Bunyingi Village samia- Kenya
In 1947 his late father Jacob Namalwa migrated back to their ancestral land and settled at the current Bulekei Primary School Ground.
Education Background
He started his education from Namboboto Primary School where he studied his primary one class in 1946. In 1947 he joined his primary two classes at Bulekei Primary School where he completed his primary education from in 1951. He sat his National Cambaridge exams and thereafter passing he joined class 8 in Lumino Junior School (current Bukwekwe Primary School). After class 8, he joined Junior 1 and Junior 2 still at Lumino Junior School.
Career
After junior 2, he joined Lwangosia Primary School in 1957 as a teacher where he taught upto 1963. From Lwangosia Primary School, he was transferred to Namautumba as a teacher as well. After Few years of teaching in Namutumba he joined Bukalasa Agricultural School.
He then joined Bukedi Cooperative Society as general secretary. Because of his hard work, he was then posted in Kitgum a better station but he objected because the Environment was hostile and he was then posted in Kumi as a head supervisor of Bukedi Cooperative Society.
Later he was posted in Tororo as an auditor for cooperative societies in Eastern region where he was retired due to National economic down size.
From 1994 to 1/8/2022, he has been living as pensioner.
Marriage
In 1963 he got married to Nabwire Getrude whom he bore 12 children with these children 7 were boys and 5 girls. One of the daughters passed on and the rest are still living.
In 1976, the late got his second wife Taaka Sylvia he bore 8 children with her 3 of whom are boys and 5 are girls.
The late left a total of 16 children by the time he passed on, 7 girls and 9 boys. He had 88 grand children and 17 great grand children.
There will be a funeral service at St. John Church of Uganda today on Friday 05th August, 2022 starting at 10:00am.
Vigil will be held at their home in Dohwe East Village, Buhemba Sub County– Namayingo District on Friday 05th August, 2022.
Burial will take place at their home in Dohwe East Village, Buhemba Sub County– Namayingo District on Saturday 06th August, 2022 at 02:00pm starting with a service.
