Biography
Professor Joseph Mukiibi was a Son to the Late Lukanga Simon of Kakindo Town Council, Kakumiro District.
He is survived by a widow, children and grandchildren.

• Consultant on Agricultural Research Projects in East andCentral Africa 2003-2015.
• Vice Chancellor, the African Rural University in Kagadi (Kibaale)
• Chief Agricultural and Forestry Research Advisor to the Republic of South Sudan 2010-2012.
• Founder Director General of the National Agricultural Research Organisation (NARO) of Uganda 1998-2003
• Dean Faculty /College of Agriculture Makerere University 1982-1985.
• Head of Forestry Department and Head Crop Science 1972-1982.
Membership of Boards
• Chairman, Board of the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA)
• Chairman Agricultural Chemicals Board of Uganda
• Chairman Association for Strengthening Agricultural Research in Eastern and Central Africa.
• Chairman forum for Agricultural Research in Africa (FARA)
• Chairman Steering Committee of the Sub-Saharan Challenge Programme.
• Chairman KILIMO TRUST FOUNDATION.
• Member of the COMESA Panel of Experts on Agriculture Biotechnology in Eastern and Southern Africa (RABESA).
There will be a Requiem Mass at Rubaga Cathedral on Friday 05th March, 2021 starting at 10:00am.
Burial will take place at their ancestral home in Kakindo Town council, Kakumiro District on Sunday 07th March, 2021 starting with a Requiem Mass at 10:00am.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
We are confident at the end of his life, his soul was prepared to meet His Maker, our God and Father. Through prayers of repentance, He received forgiveness through the love and confession of Jesus Christ as His Lord and Saviour .
May the Lord comfort and heal you all at this difficult and painful time. .
