Mzee Tommy Okabo was the most gentle and loving man we have ever known. He was a simple man who loved simple life, honest, clean and very smart. He didn’t need material things to make him happy. Mzee was someone who would sacrifice for the people he loved no matter the condition. He loved the company of his family, friends and grand children. He was always the life of chats and storytelling and he would make anyone laugh. Mzee loved his clan Abwor so much and loved anyone associated with the clan.

Even though he was in a lot of pain, Mzee could welcome people with smiles at his home in Kiryandongo and discussed several things including having party to celebrate whenever good things happened and thanking God for saving his life.
Mzee was an Arsenal supporter and would predict how Arsenal would crash Chelsea in the forthcoming game, “Aubameyang will do nothing in the game and Arsenal will win” I quote in his own word.

Mzee was always so proud of his Children and their accomplishments. His encouragement and support meant the world to us and we will always cherish his words of wisdom. We know that he is now resting in paradise and we will surely miss him dearly.
