Early Education:
Mrs. Judith Angwech Okwany was born in Kampala to the late Mr. Bruno and Mrs. Lucy Ekut. She was the 2nd born in a family of 7 children.
She studied at Murchison Bay Primary School & thereafter went to Kololo Senior Secondary School for O level and Mariam High School for A level, she then went to Makerere University Kampala where she did a BSc in Land Surveying. She further attained PGD in Project Planning and Management from the Uganda Mgt Institute. Soon after, she was awarded an equity and merit scholarship in 2016 by the University of Manchester, UK to study a MSc Geographical Information Sciences which she successfully completed in 2017.
Career Path:
- Judith Angwech Okwany started her career with Lira District Local Government as a District Staff Surveyor.
- Thereafter she joined the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development in Kampala as a Senior Staff Surveyor (MLHUD- Lira and Mbale zonal offices), promoted to Principal Staff Surveyor in 2020 to date.
- She also worked as a part time assistant lecturer in the Department of Geomatics and Land Management at Makerere University, Kampala between 2021 and 2023.
- She also worked as the Managing Director Alpha Surveyors Ltd Lira
Notable Engagements and Achievements.
- Evangelism with Glorious Life Ministries using various platforms including YouTube, Radio shows on Unity FM Lira & Dokolo FM, organizing various crusades in Lira City, Kaberamaido etc. ministering in various churches.
- RSU Judith Angwech was a fully licensed and registered Land Surveyor; was serving as the Current Chair of the Land Surveying Registration Committee (a committee instituted to fast track the registration of Land Surveyors).
- Served as the Vice Honorary Secretary of ISU from 2019 – 2021.

Family Life.
Mrs. Judith Angwech Okwany married Mr. Robinson Okwany Olyel on 15th/December/2012.
She was blessed with three children; Noeline Tania Tila Nasige (8 years old), Nissi Annabel Tila (6 years old) and Jayden Tila Okwany (4 years old). Aside from her children, many more children have gone through her stewardship and guidance.
Hobbies.
- Mrs. Judith Angwech Okwany was a very passionate and God-fearing Christian serving God in her everyday life.
- Her interest was in upholding the marriage institution, bringing people together, Helping people in whichever way possible.
- She also enjoyed Reading Journals and inspirational books.
Conclusion.
- Mrs. Judith Angwech Okwany left to be with the Lord on Wednesday 6th November 2024 at Nakasero Hospital.
- Her kindness and generosity will be very dearly missed by everyone that knew her.
- Say not in grief “she is no more” but live-in thankfulness that she was.
There will be a Funeral Service at St. Francis Chapel Makerere University on Monday, 11th November 2024 starting at 10:00am, followed by vigil in Kungu starting at 4:00pm.
Burial will take place at Cwagere in Kangai Sub- County, Dokolo District on Wednesday, 13th November 2024 starting at 10:00am.
