GODFREY KABUNGA February 19, 2021

Godfrey Kabunga passed on Wednesday 17th February 2021 having got involved in an accident when he was run-over by a trailer truck at Ntinda-Kisaasi roundabout at around 4.00pm.

He died at the age of 41 years. He was born on 30th November 1979 to Nakaayi Betty and the Late Kabanda Stephen of Kakuuto, Butuntumula sub county, Luwero District.

Godfrey was joined in a holy matrimony to his wife Ann Mugisa Kabunga on 16th December 2020, just over two months ago! He is survived with two children Leus and William.

Godfrey went to Kasiiso Primary and Luwero Parents schools in Luwero district. He joined Mengo Senior School for his O’level and Makerere College School for his Advanced level certificate. He joined Makerere University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Godfrey spent his early work life in the United Kingdom where he spent about 5 years before returning home. During the last decade, he was engaged in a number of ICT-related consultancies for a number of organizations and business firms. He later joined Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) as an Applications’ Developer where he worked till his death.

Godfrey was a generous man with compassion for others. He had great and unconditional love for children. He was an uncle that always carried along toys, ice creams, yoghurt, cakes etc.  He would recall all his nephews’ and nieces’ birthdays and would buy them gifts.

He never kept a grudge and he always apologized for any mistakes made. He had a large and a golden heart.

He always wanted to see people develop. He was extremely hard working and brilliant. He was highly innovative and he always had multiple solutions to any problem.

Godfrey was unique and may never easily be replaced. He will always be missed by his wife, children, mother, brothers, sisters and friends.

Burial will take place at their ancestral home in Kakuuto-Bamugolodde on Friday 19^th February, 2021 at 02:00pm.
