TRIBUTE

A loving wife, mother, sister, counsellor, mentor, friend and grandmother (Dede) to many.

She was the engine of her family. A woman who detested waste and multiplied the little that she had in her hands. She gave her sweat and blood to ensure that all under her care had at least the basic necessities of life.

A disciplinarian and a mediator. She was firm and kind hearted. It’s no wonder that for most of her marital life she maintained a household of not less than 20 people.

Generosity was her first name. She held not her hand back from helping anyone who asked for her help.

She was a distributary of the resources that God placed in her hands. What her right hand gave, her left hand knew not.

She was a committed member of the Church of Christ. She contributed much to the building, maintenance, and ministry activities of several churches. She also was a member of the Mothers’ Union.

She was intelligent and enterprising. Together with her Late husband Collin, they set up St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School in memory of the Late Mary Wangari Adriko to serve the disadvantaged community in Kasokoso-Kiganda village. They also are the proprietors of RoseVilla Hotel, Arua.

She loved to laugh and dance, often singing her favourite chorus “Awania Awania Awania Yesu! Awania Yesu! Ma’asi ambi ra” (Thank you Jesus! Thank you Jesus My heart is at Peace)

Fare thee well Mummy, Sweet Sixteen, Dede, Mamushka, Rosa, Afande, Leku…
