Stanislous Muwonge was born 1st April 1944 to the Late Isdore Lubega and Josephine Nankya.
He attended St. Peter’s Nsambya and Lubiri Secondary School for Primary and Secondary education. Then went on to study at Strathmore College in Nairobi. For further education he went to Leeds Polytechnic in the UK where he pursued his Post Graduate studies (ICMA,FCCA, ACCA & CPA(U)) and has died as the 48th member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.
Silas as he was fondly known, served as Accountant in East African Harbours Kenya. He later joined National Housing and Construction Corporation as Chief Accountant.
In the mid 1980’s he joined one of the first indigenous Audit firms, Lawrie Prophet & Company as a junior partner where he progressed to Senior Partner up until the time of his passing.
Apart from his dedication to the field of Accounting & Auditing, Mr Muwonge was also an industrious farmer.
He was devoted to his family, friends and work colleagues.
Silas went on to be with the Lord on 29th December 2021.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Regina Muwonge, his children Joseph, Andrew, Brian, Matovu, Steven and Tony, grandchildren, family, in-laws and friends.
