Education and Career Background
- Mzee Silvesto Okul went through the old British System of Education under the General Certificate of Education
- He acquired skills that show him practice at an all-around professional who knew many skills ranging from Brick laying and concrete practice, Carpentry and Joinery, Tailoring and finally as a Russian Trained Technisan/ Engineer he worked at Lira at Uganda Spinning Mill Ltd. As Machine Operator’s Foreman until the closer of the Industrial due to the Insurgents in Northern Uganda.
- In the community, he was the first Resistant Council Chairman of the NRM regime in his area;
- He served as Vice Chairman Parent Teachers Association (PTA), Aculbanya Secondary School for 20 years;
- He served as Head of Laity at his local Church, St. Matthias Baramindyang Archdeaconry for 30 years;
- He engaged in productive commercial agriculture and served as a businessman who taught many the art of socio-economic transformation.
- He has been a full-time parent and a faithful family man for the last 60 years.
There will be a Funeral Service at Baramindyang St. Mathias Archdeaconry Kole Vicarage on Friday, 24th May 2024 starting at 10:00am followed by vigil at his home at Kuluyago Village in Kole staring at 04:00pm.
Burial will take place at his ancestral home in Kuluyago, Village Telele Parish, Ayer-Kole District on Saturday, 25th May 2024 starting at 10:00am.

The archdeacon of St. Mathias Baramindyang Archdeaconry Ven. Rev.Joel Elel is requested to prepare and coordinate the Funeral service and burial Ceremony
