Mzee John Baptist Itumeineho was born on February 28, 1928 to Yakobo and Anyesi Sekatwe in Kitumba, Karubanda –Kabale District. He was a Teacher by Profession.
He was married to the Late Cecelia Tigahungwa since 1952. Together they had 14 children including Specioza (late), Gorreti (Late), Janerose, Narcisio, Assumpta, Mary, Jane,
Dr. John, Olivia, Joyce, George, Herbert, James and Joseph; 70 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
He went to St. Mary’s Boys’ Primary school, Nyakibale VTC, Ibanda TTC.
His teaching career started off in 1952 and he taught in various schools including Buhara P/S. Butobere P/S, St. Mary’s Boys’ P/S and St. Theresa P/S where he retired in 1995.
He served as LC I Chairperson of Rwagaana cell, Karubanda ward – Kabale Municipality for 33 years.
In church, he served as President of Legion of Mary – Kabale Diocese.
He was a member of Legion of Mary for the whole of his adult life until he breathed his last.
There will be a Funeral Service at St. Charles Lwanga Ntinda on Thursday, 18th November 2021 starting at 09:00am.
Burial will take place at their ancestral home in Kabale on Saturday, 20th November 2021 at 02:00pm.
