    Tribute
Marian, we met almost 50 years ago! We bonded over our love for fashion and quickly became very close friends. We have walked this road of life hand in hand, supporting each other as best as we could. Through the decades, our paths would diverge to take us in different directions and different lives but somehow our friendship survived and would always lead us back to reunions in London, Kampala and Nairobi. It did not matter the length of separation you always made it so easy to catch up because you were gifted in putting people at ease. The conversations, the coffees, the sisterhood exchanges, the laughter, the teasing, the humour, the knowing silences, the tears… are all in my heart and will remain there.
Marian, you were such a modest, calm, faithful and caring soul yet extremely pragmatic. Your distinguished station in life never changed who you were. All of us your friends knew that we could count on you (not easy to find in this fast paced life)! You were exceptional! I will always remember how you cared for our Sheila in her hour of need! Marian, I could write a book about your loyalty and kindness! Alas!
Fare thee well my friend, until we meet again!
    Your friend forever
