Salome was born on 25th February 1940 to the Late Mr. Marko Homanya and Late Mrs. Lucia Kyahingwire of Butare parish, Rwengye sub county, Buhweju District.
She was born in Butare parish.
She got married to Mr. Cyprian Bangirana on the 26th of May 1962.
She was married to Mr. Bangirana Cyprian for 60 years until the time of her death, which occurred on Thursday 2nd June 2022 at the Uganda Cancer Institute, Mulago Hospital around 11am. They were blessed with 7 children; 2 Girls and 5 Boys as listed below;

2. Mr. John Bangirana (RIP)
3. Mr. Jeffrey Bangirana
4. Dr. Alex Bangirana
5.Ms. Jennifer Bangirana
6. Ms. Caroline Bangirana (RIP)
7.Mr. Steven Bangirana
She was a mummy to so many, a title she has never outgrown.
Salome was a qualified teacher and secretary with a career that spanned many years in Kenya and Uganda. She retired from the Ministry of Education after serving 7 ministers in the same ministry.
At the time of her death, she had 8 grandchildren.
Salome has been a devoted Catholic who never ceased to pray.
Salome may the angels joyfully receive your soul in heaven and accompany you to the place the Almighty God has prepared for you.
May the Almighty God receive your soul with mercy and grant you eternal rest.
There is a Requiem Mass at St. Charles Catholic Parish, Ntinda today, 03rd June 2022 at 02:00pm, there after vigil will be held at their home in Karindamuhoro, Sheema Central Division.
Burial will take place at their ancestral home in Karindamuhoro, Sheema Central Division on Sunday, 05th June 2022 starting at 11:00am.
