Family Background:

Judy Adoko, born on 14th September 1950, she was a daughter to Rwot Yakobo Adoko and Imat Erubania-Adoko.

Judy Adoko was the 5th born of the 8 children born to Imat Erubania-Adoko who hailed from the Palamyek Clan from Moroto Contry, Olilim sub-county.

Children: Ogwang Raymond, Deborah Atala and Jacinta Adur.

Siblings; Raymond Engena, Maxwell Oboko, Mitulesi Okwanga, Carmela Okello, Hellen Opio, Sylvia Konga, Sr Alex Acen, Vento Adoko and Dr Florence Odhiambo.

Professional profile:

She attended Ngetta Girls Boarding Primary School, Namagunga Girls, Dar es Salam University, Law Development Centre – Kampala, and Manchester University.

Judy Adoko worked with VSO (1980-1985), Radia Advocates (1986-1987), Oxfam GB (1988-2001), and LEMU (2003 -2019) which she founded.

She served as a member to General Assembly and Board of Non-Government Organisations in Uganda.

At the time of her death, Counsel Judy Adoko has been serving in voluntary bases as the Administrative Secretary to Lango Cultural Foundation and the Attorney General of Oyima Clan.

Cousel Judy Adoko served as a Deacon in Watoto.

There will be a Funeral Service at Church of Resurrection Bugolobi on Thursday 09th March 2023 starting at 10:00am.

Burial will take place at their ancestral home in Akokoro – Apach District on Saturday 11th March 2023 starting at 10:00am.
