Hellen was born on 12th February 1969 in Rubaga Hospital, Kamuli to parents, Rev. Nicholas Magoola and Mrs. Agatha Loy Magoola as the 10th child of their 12 children. She attained a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration majoring in Accounting from Nkumba University Uganda. She then had a successful career as an accountant for both the City Council of Jinja and that of Lugazi respectively. In 2005, she relocated to Dallas, TX USA where she joined the service industry as a dedicated Manager for a major retail company. She was married to the late Grace Emmanuel Mwesigwa with whom she had 2 daughters.
Hellen donated her time and finances to help various causes close to her heart, especially supporting less privileged children through school, supplying necessities for the elderly, and funding initiatives at St. Nicholas church in Kivubuka, Jinja. All in all, Hellen is described by her family and friends as one of the most kindhearted, empathetic, and generous people they have ever met. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the piano, attending bible study with her bible study group from Northplace Church in Sachse, TX and playing with her grandson.
She is survived by her 2 daughters, Diana Kugumikiriza and Jackie Mwesigwa, her grandson Shawn Nwadinigwe, her 4 sisters, Hon. Lillian Mirembe Sansa, Christine Kusasira Maholo, Agnes Debora Magoola, Lydia Loy Magoola, her 2 brothers, Dr. Andrew Mubeezi Magoola and Rev. Robert Joshua Magoola and her extended family.
There will be a Memorial Service at St. Stephen’s Church, Kisugu on Friday, 03rd June 2022 starting at 04:00pm.
There will be another Memorial Service at St. Nicholas Church, Kivubuka- Jinja on Saturday, 04thJune 2022 starting at 12:00pm.
Burial will take place at their ancestral home in Kivubuka, Jinja on Sunday, 05th June 2022 at 12:00pm.
