Esther Ofumbi, a beloved daughter died on 1st March 2021 at the age of 59 in Los Angeles, California.
Esther is survived by her Mother, three brothers and four sisters. She is predeceased by her Father, the Late Hon. A.C.K. Oboth-Ofumbi.
Esther was born in the Ugandan northern town of Gulu on 30th April 1962, where her Late Father at the time was serving as the District Commissioner.
Esther attended primary education at St. Andrew’s School, Turi, followed by Secondary education at the Kenya High School. Prior to moving to the United States of America, Esther a dedicated Christian engaged with the Church Youth group, at the family Chapel. During this of four years, Esther revamped, empowered, and inspired many young people nurturing their spiritual faith through a myriad of activities including singing, gardening, creating handcrafts and scripture union fellowship. Esther graduated from the Los Angeles Trade Technical College, with a degree in Arts and Fashion Design.
Esther was a greatly loved member of St James Episcopal Chapel, in Los Angeles, where she was a devote member of the “Table One” unit.
Esther was marvelously gifted and incredibly talented in designing beautiful handiworks. She worked at M. Stephens Incorporation and more recently at the Salvation Army.
May Esther’s soul through the mercy of God rest in eternal peace and rise in everlasting glory.
