Dr Martin Odoch was born on 19th February 1976 from Gulu Hospital. He studied his Primary Education from Lake Victoria Primary School, Entebbe. He then went to Namilyango College for his “O” Level and his ‘A” was from Busoga College Mwiri.
He went ahead to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology from Makerere University where he graduated with Honours in 2001. He did his Master of Agricultural Production Chain Management specializing in Post-Harvest Technology and logistics from the Van Hall Larenstein University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands in 2008.
He completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Food Science from the University of Pretoria, South Africa in April 2018.
Martin worked as Estate Manager, Mpanga Tea Growers in Fortportal. After that he joined Gulu University as a Lecturer in the Faculty of Agriculture and Environment. He was also assigned as In-charge Laboratories. He also was a Business Consultant on Agro projects and these included ALUMALUM and ZEEP AGRO.
Martin wedded the love of his life Sheila Kamayangi on 21st January 2012 at Watoto Church Central-Kampala. They were blessed with two children; Kelsey Lagum aged 9years and Jonathan Rwotlonyo aged 6years.
Burial will take place at their ancestral home in Lagwiny- Bungatira on Sunday,17th July 2022 starting with a service at 12:00noon.
