Marriage

Jessica Nasila was married to Alexander Wepukhulu Soita and had 11 children. Unfortunately two girls and four boys died before her – being four sons and two daughters.

Occupation

The late Jessica was a farmer and occasionally engaged in business.

Sickness and Death

Mama Jessica Nasila started experiencing challenges in her health in the year 2000 and became more noticeable from 2016. She complained of coldness and decreased appetite. On 21st July 2024, she collapsed after visiting her last-born son who had been admitted to the Bukokho Trading Center clinic. She was admitted in the same clinic and treated for malaria. When her condition worsened, on 24th July 2024, she was moved to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital. In Mbale, she was found to have unstable low blood pressure, low sugar levels with some fluids around the lungs. She was stabilised after intensive treatment but she could hardly feed, which weakened her condition. On July 27th at 09:30 am, she passed on, surrounded by her family members.

Family

She died leaving behind 11 children, some of whom had died before her, 91 grandchildren, 164 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, leaving a legacy of 265 descendants

Burial will take place at their ancestral home in Bukokho, Bukiaba, Namisindwa District on Wednesday, 7th July 2024 starting with a Service at 9:00am
